M14x1.5/M16x1.5 Ultra High Performance Rod End
Difference Between Male and Female Rod End Bearings
Male Rod End Bearings: Male rod end bearings, also known as "male thread" or "external thread" rod ends, feature external threads on their shank. These threads allow the bearing to be screwed into a corresponding threaded hole or mounting point. They are commonly used when the bearing needs to be attached to a stationary or fixed component.
Female Rod End Bearings: Female rod end bearings, also known as "female thread" or "internal thread" rod ends, have an internally threaded bore instead of external threads. This allows for the attachment of a male threaded shaft or stud into the bearing's bore. They are typically used when the bearing needs to be connected to a rotating or moving component.
Rod ends are crafted with precision, featuring a bronze liner on the spherical surface of the outer ring and a chromium liner on the inner ring's surface. The rod body's surface is meticulously zinc-plated for enhanced protection against corrosion, while the housing includes a lubrication hole or grease nipple for convenient maintenance. The sliding surfaces are meticulously crafted from a combination of bronze and steel, ensuring smooth and reliable operation even under challenging conditions.
